Several new courses will be offered in spring 2010, including a new religion course in the Department of Philosophy and Religion. “The Dead Sea Scrolls” or REL 491 will be taught by taught by Dr. Todd Hibbard on Tuesdays 5:30-8 p.m. in Holt 204. This course will provide an archaeological and historical journey into the textual world of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Department of Political Science, Public Administration and Nonprofit Management will offer “Technology, Politics and Society” (POLS 350, Mondays from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m.). The course will look at public policy shifts that result from changes in technology. It will try to assess the following: whether particular technologies have inevitable and intrinsic political and social implications; the relationship between political and social context and the evolution of technology; the historical evolution of technology and its implications for public policy. Instructor Greg Laudeman will teach the course.
