Foundation work for the library is underway and should be completed by the end of July. A construction bid award is anticipated by that time.
Boiler replacement is ongoing in Lot 7 adjacent to Maclellan Gym. Financial Aid will be moving into space in the University Center currently occupied by art studios. The art studios will be moving to Guerry Center.
Renovations to Grote Hall should be completed for fall 2010 classes. Maintenance repairs to Frist Hall are complete.
ADA compliance plans call for the installation of an elevator at the west entrance to Race Hooper Hall with a connection to the second floor of Founders Hall. A “math mall” is being located in the Maclellan lobby, which will be enclosed to limit noise from the gym. Repairs will be made to the exterior of Patten House, which was built in 1896.
Windows are being replaced in Grote and Bretske halls and others if funds are available. Roofs are being repaired on Pfeiffer-Stagmaier, Davenport, and Founders halls.
Repair work for the underground climate distribution system that connects campus to the Central Energy Plant continues along Cardiac Hill.
