Chattanooga is in the middle of one of its most successful seasons in recent memory. The Mocs were riding a five-game winning streak and ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation before falling to Elon 49-35. UTC is working to secure back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in almost 20 years.
The bonfire event is being sponsored by the UTC Student Government Association. East Brainerd Lumber Company is donating the lumber, and the Chattanooga Fire Department will help build the structure and ensure safety.
The Mocs take on Auburn this Saturday, November 6. Game time is set for 1 p.m. (E.D.T.) at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. The Mocs (5-3, 4-2 SoCon) are fighting for a playoff spot with three games remaining while the Tigers (9-0, 6-0 SEC) are in the hunt for a berth in the Bowl Championship Series title game.
