The Chattanooga Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) recently presented a check for $11,293 to Chancellor Roger Brown in support of the Jean Bradford Memorial Scholarship at UTC.
Established in 1996 by the Chattanooga Chapter of Executive Women International in memory of former EWI member Jean (Mrs. James) Bradford, the Jean Bradford Memorial Scholarship assists women, particularly displaced homemakers and single mothers, who return to school with a plan: to enhance their career opportunities.
“The price of education has not lost its value. We at Executive Women International realize the desire of the scholarship recipients to improve their lives. Therefore with the aid of over 65 firms and 75 representatives, our organization works passionately to fulfill this mission of Careers, Connections and Community,” said Margaret R. Browning, Administrative Assistant with Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc., who serves as Chattanooga Chapter EWI President.
In the last 13 years, EWI has contributed more than $144,000 toward scholarships for single mothers seeking to further their education.
