University offers new courses for fall semester
This semester, students can analyze popular films, study Shakespearean plays, and learn programming for Droid applications as the University offers a variety of new courses for the fall. The last day to register for fall classes is August 28. For more information about registration, click here.
Construction begins, finishes on several key campus buildings
While most of UTC’s students spent their summer lounging at the pool, the University has completed several large construction projects and will begin several more in the fall semester. Renovations to longtime campus buildings and the construction of new facilities will await students when they return for fall classes on August 22.

Happy memories return as South Stadium is dismantled
Described as “a beautiful concrete stadium with an exterior of brick and stone in harmony with the other buildings on campus” in the 1928 University yearbook, bittersweet feelings surround campus as South Stadium is dismantled, nearly 84 years after it was constructed.
Update: Students gain real world experience with internships
Working downtown in a swanky office certainly has its perks, but sitting still is not one of them. As UTC students found out this summer, interning for some of Chattanooga’s premier companies means becoming part of a team of professionals and gaining practical real world experience.

Students to participate in free children’s sports gear fittings
As fall football season fast approaches, keeping children safe on the field is a top priority for many parents. Thanks to students in the UTC Department of Health and Human Performance, parents can breathe a little easier during games. Students are volunteering to outfit children in properly fitted sports gear.
