UTC’s David Levine, PT, PhD, DPT, OCS, from the Department of Physical Therapy (PHYT) was invited as an International Keynote Speaker at the 2015 Australian Physiotherapy Conference. Levine presented multiple lectures and labs on topics such as animal assisted therapy, strategies for evidence based practice, and research on the use of lasers to improve muscle endurance.
“Having the opportunity to meet with physical therapists from around the world to discuss education and research, and also to compare our health care systems, was a wonderful experience,” Levine said.
His participation with the conference generated recognition for UTC and the Physical Therapy Program.
“It also gave me an opportunity to promote UTC on an International platform and reaffirm what we already know, which is that the Physical Therapy Program at UTC recruits and graduates some of the best students anywhere.”
Levine is the author of three textbooks that have been published in numerous languages and are used worldwide.
