Be sure to kick-off your UTC experience the right way—by attending Convocation 2016 and then joining in the festivities of Welcome Week!
Convocation
Friday, Aug. 19, 10 – 11 a.m
McKenzie Arena
What is Convocation?
- Convocation is from the Latin word meaning “calling together”
- Your UTC faculty, staff, fellow students, alumni, and community members will gather together to celebrate who we are as Mocs, the importance of our newest students, and the significance of our educational journey
- Convocation and Commencement serve as the two bookends to UTC students’ careers, with Convocation being the beginning and Commencement being the culmination of your Mocs success
Highlights of Convocation include:
- Pep rally featuring Scrappy, Cheerleaders, and Marching Mocs
- Fight Song and Alma Mater
- Video message from fellow students
- Class of 2020 group photo (A time lapse of this photos from last year’s Convocation can be found here!)
- Special mementos
We hope you and your parents can join us for fun start to a great year at Convocation 2016!
