UTC’s Susan Davidson was sworn in on June 1 as a member of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees.
Davidson, professor and coordinator of the Gateway RN-BSN program in the School of Nursing, will be one of 26 board members who oversee the educational and operational activities of the statewide university system.
On the board, she represents faculty members across all UT campuses statewide.
The governor appoints 21 members of the board, with the remaining five serving as ex officio members. Along with the governor, the other ex officio members are the president of the University of Tennessee, the state Commissioner of Agriculture and the Commissioner of Education, and the executive director of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
