The College of Engineering and Computer Science welcomed a mechanical engineering alum to campus for the Distinguished Speaker Series. Julian Bell, executive vice president of Signal Energy Constructors in Chattanooga, spoke to students about strategies to advance their careers after school.
In a presentation titled “After the Engineering Degree: Core Non-Technical Traits that Accelerate Career Success,” he spoke to a group of more than 50 students. Prior to the talk, Bell had lunch with a group of 20 mechanical engineering students and met one-on-one with faculty members about renewable energy research and collaboration opportunities.
Signal Energy operates globally on renewable-energy construction projects for such industries as solar and wind.

Well that’s the advantage of being called alum because they can be the perfect mentor for them as they can guide them or tell them which path to follow, which mistakes to avoid so i think its a great step taken by university of Tennessee. Kudos !!
