UTC’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing online program is one of the Top 20 in the country, according to a national website. The degree is part of UTC’s RN-BSN Gateway Program.
Ranked No. 17, UTC is one of only two Tennessee schools to be ranked in the Top 25 by the SR Education Group, an education research publisher in Seattle. UT-Martin is No. 24.
Sr Education’s 2019 Best Online Nursing Colleges ranking is based on licensure pass rates and affordability. Schools must be nationally accredited and have a National Council Licensure Examination pass rate of 95 percent or higher. The average tuition at the ranked schools was below $14,000 a year.
“We are certainly proud of the faculty and staff who have worked so hard to make affordable, online education accessible for all,” said Chris Smith, director of the School of Nursing. “This option enables those nurses who are seeking a four-year degree to balance family and work while they are earning their degree. “
