Students at UTC brought home eight awards from the 2018 Tennessee Associated Press Broadcasters and Media Editors competition, including four first-place finishes.
About 300 submissions from student newspapers, TV stations, radio stations and digital operations at universities across the state were in the running.
UTC won first place in News Story, Online Sports Reporting, TV Specialized/Topic Reporting and TV Investigative/In-Depth Reporting.
It landed second-place trophies in College Media Website , Online Graphics Design, College Photojournalist and TV News Story.
Awards were only given to the top two submissions in each category.
