Many new projects are currently taking place on campus and that means there are changes that will affect the regular campus parking arrangements. Please read each change carefully and plan ahead before fall semester begins. However, any or all of these changes are subject to change after fall semester begins.
- Construction for both the Lupton Building and Fine Arts Center renovation projects will hamper a few centralized lots, but we have adjusted others to compensate for these changes.
- Lot 17, directly south of the Fine Arts Center, will be closed during the scope of the Fine Arts renovation project. The lot should be reopened when the project is completed, which is estimated by the end of summer 2020, however, that finish date is not guaranteed. Parking Services will let you know if the completion date changes.
- Due to the amount of spaces taken up with the construction on the former Lupton Library, Lot 13 has been moved into Lot 12 Upper, the top of the Lupton parking garage and north of Cadek Hall. Lot 12 Upper is for those who have Lot 12 reserve permits.
- Lot 11, the bottom lot next to Lupton, will have a reduced amount of spaces available also due to construction.
- Lot 51 at the corner of McCallie Avenue and Palmetto Street will be turned into a general lot.
- The reserved lot with six spaces surrounding Davenport Hall will be converted into general spaces and renamed Lot 63.
- For 540 McCallie, also known as the State Office Building, the first two rows in Lot 61 will be strictly reserved spaces. The first two rows are defined as the rows closest to the building itself.
- Lot 58 will be split in half to accommodate general parking needs. While lot 58 will remain as a reserved lot closer to the James R. Mapp Building, the southern half of lot 58 will be made for general spaces renamed lot 62, accessible from Houston and Mabel Street.

- Lot 65, an 8 a.m.-5 p.m. designated general lot, has been leased to us from the Christ Church Episcopal, located at the corner of McCallie Avenue and Douglas Street. There will be a few specific spots reserved for the church’s use only, but they will be apparent and visible. The entrance and exit points for Lot 65 are located on Douglas Street.
- Challenger Field will become Lot 64 for general permit holders. As of now, work is taking place on this lot to create safe paths in and out. The plan is to have access points from Lot 9 and Lot 36. Our goal is to have the lot open by the first week of classes, which begin Aug. 19.
