The Story That Cannot Be Told Book Launch
When: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8

Details: On October 8th, Chattanooga author and adjunct professor J. Kasper Kramer’s (known as Jessica Miller on campus) debut novel, THE STORY THAT CANNOT BE TOLD, will appear on shelves everywhere books are sold! Come celebrate with the author in UTC’s University Center, Chattanooga Room A from 6:30-8:30 pm, where there will be free food, a raffle with awesome book-themed prizes, as well as a reading, Q&A with the author, and her very first local book signing!
This event is co-hosted by The Sequoyah Review and UTC’s English Department. Star Line Books will be selling copies of Kramer’s novel on site, so bring your friends, bring your family (kids are more than welcome!), and come ready to share in the excitement!

Details: Presented by the UTC Departments of Psychology and Biology, Geology and Environmental Science, and the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Chattanooga. Nearly one in every three acres in the U.S. is owned by the Federal Government. This land is, quite literally, OUR land. And what a land it is! This lecture explores some of the disputes regarding resources and public land, and provides an overview of America’s natural resource policies, pausing along the way to marvel at the beauty and bounty of our public land heritage.

River Cities I-O (RCIO) Applied Psychology conference

Details: The Master’s of Science degree program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology is hosting the 15th annual River Cities I-O (RCIO) Applied Psychology conference on October 25 and 26, 2019. This year the focus of the conference is on analytics, and how we need to be mindful of the psychology of human beings at work, when working with data.
