At the Veterans Day Luncheon held Monday, Nov. 11, Chris Weiss, a member of the maintenance crew for Housing and Residence Life, was honored with the Quilt of Valor. The quilt was signed by dozens of faculty, students and staff across campus. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard where he was a quartermaster but spent the majority of his service as Coast Guard Honor Guard. In addition, computer science major Trevor Peyton was given the Sgt. David Alex Stephens Scholarship, which is awarded to a student veteran. He served in the U.S. Army.
