A national online organization has rated the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graphic design program as the top one in Tennessee.
For its 2020 awards, Animation Career Review, an online resource for people seeking careers in animation, game design, graphic design, digital art and related fields, selected the UTC Bachelor of Fine Arts: Graphic Design ahead of programs at UT Knoxville, Watkins College of Art in Nashville and East Tennessee State University.
By their senior year in the UTC four-year program, “students concentrate almost exclusively on studio coursework within the area of concentration, with an emphasis on individual expression, open exploration, and experimentation,” said Animation Career Review, which reviewed more than 700 U.S. schools with graphic design programs,
The ranking criteria used for rankings included academic reputation, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the program and value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness.
