Hope Klug, UC Foundation associate professor in biology, geology and environmental science, will be part of a virtual event hosted by an outreach program of the National Academy of Sciences.
Hosted by The Science & Entertainment Exchange, the Feb. 17 program will focus on the science of attraction and mating of animals. A behavioral ecologist, Klug researches why animals behave the way they do from an evolutionary perspective. She studies why some animal parents eat their own offspring and the decisions that males and females make when choosing a mate.
