The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graphic design program is among the 50 best in the country, according to a national website.
Animation Career Review, designed for students seeking careers in animation, graphic design, game development, digital art and similar fields, ranked the UTC Bachelor of Fine Arts: Graphic Design program at No. 49 out of 700 public schools across the U.S. with graphic design programs.
The UTC program was rated second-best among Tennessee universities and 17th among programs in the South, which includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
The criteria used by Animation Career Review in its rankings are:
- Academic reputation
- Admission selectivity
- Employment data
- Depth and breadth of the program faculty
- Value as it relates to tuition and student debt
- Graduation rate
