WUTC, FM 88.1, just completed a membership drive and set a record for its spring fundraising with $152,288 pledged. These new dollars will be used for maintaining the public radio station’s operation. WUTC is licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
“We are overjoyed,” said Dr. John McCormack, station manager, “for even during times of financial caution, our listeners have again made a strong commitment to continuing the University’s proud history of providing listener supported public radio.”
The radio station received gifts from listeners in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina.
WUTC is the region’s source for informational and entertainment programs from National Public Radio along with locally produced programming.
WUTC offers syndicated favorites like “Car Talk,” “A Prairie Home Companion” and “Fresh Air.” It can be heard in analog or digital broadcasts or over the web at wutc.org.
