Accessible technology allows The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to become more effective in teaching, learning, and work.
The Accessible Technology Committee held a technology fair to show how easy it is to adopt and use accessible documents and webpages, accessible textbooks and instructional materials, video captioning, screen readers, accessibility in information systems, accessibility and the UTC Library, accessibility and online instruction and more.
Fourteen exhibits attracted nearly 150 visitors.
“With such a positive response and the ever-changing technologies, we hope to establish the fair as an annual event,” said Dr. Jocelyn B. Sanders, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
Barnes and Noble supplied door prizes, including a Live Scribe smart pen and gift cards from the UTC Bookstore.
