Since Fall 2007, MOCS Camp has helped incoming freshman get adjusted to college life.
“This is our third successful year of MOCS Camp,” said Miles Ledford, camp coordinator.
The three day camp is designed to help 75 new students make a smooth transition from high school to college. The students are chosen by a first come, first served basis through summer orientation.
During the three days of camp, students meet University faculty, staff and student leaders who teach them about UTC traditions. Participants also visit area attractions, and they go rock climbing, canoeing, shopping, hiking and take a sightseeing trip with Chattanooga Ducks.
“We want to really get students familiar with UTC and the Chattanooga community,” Ledford said.
