Ron Bird, of DENSO North America Foundation in Athens, Tennessee, presented a check for $7400 to the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Last spring, UTC’s Racing Mocs beat Georgia Tech, UT Knoxville and the University of Alabama by placing 16th of 100 teams at the 2009 Baja Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Alabama at Auburn University.
“DENSO representatives were very happy for the UTC Racing Mocs,” said Dr. Will Sutton, dean of the UTC College of Engineering and Computer Science. “This donation will be used entirely to help support the SAE Baja project.”
