Heather Grothe, executive secretary in the Department of English, was presented with a framed declaration to honor her 40 years of service to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. On her left is UT System President Joe DiPietro; UTC Chancellor Steve Angle is on her right. On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the chancellor presented annual Service Awards to UTC employees who reached milestones in their careers. Eighty-one employees reached their five-year mark; 42 were 10 years; 33 were 15 years; 12 were 20 years; six were 25 years; five were 30 years; six were 35 years and three, including Grothe, have been at UTC for 40 years.
