Chancellor Steve Angle introduced the most recent Blue Ribbon Award recipients on Tuesday, recognizing them as an integral part of “what UTC is about: Real commitment to our students and our community and making this a better place.”
“What you do defines this university,” he said. “People talk about the great things going on here, they’re talking about what you do each and every day.”
Officer Lacy Bobo called the Blue Ribbon Award “a validation that I’m doing my job correctly. This is basically what I’m supposed to be doing anyway.”
Ruey Rhodes from Facilities Planning and Management called UTC “a brand to itself … and there’s nothing but great things happening for UTC as far as I can tell.”
The winners are:
- July – Corey McGraw & David Tuggle in Facilities and Planning Management
- August – Cpl. John West in the UTC Police Department
- September – Mike Andrews of Communications and Marketing
- October – Officer Lacy Bobo in the UTC Police Department
- November – Jason DeSain in Enrollment Services
- December – Ruey Rhodes in Facilities and Planning Management
