For the sixth consecutive year, firms and individuals representing every step along the way from business proposition to satisfied customer spent a day at UTC for the Chattanooga Supplier Connection Conference.
Formerly the Chattanooga Business Opportunity Conference, the one-day event, held Wednesday, Aug. 1, gives suppliers, contractors, manufacturers and service providers a chance to make connections with local, state and federal agencies, as well as regional firms and major corporations doing business in the Chattanooga area.
“UTC is proud to host the Chattanooga Supplier Connection Conference,” said Rosite Delgado, UTC interim director of equity and inclusion. “Providing the venue for such an event is good for our business community at the same time it demonstrates the University’s commitment to economic development and community enrichment.”
Conference participants own or represent businesses, many of which are small and owned by minorities, women and veterans. The conference brings them face-to-face with procurement officers, project managers and other business officials.
Information on upcoming opportunities for competitive bidding and other business proposals also is shared.
