The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is ranked among the Top 10 of all colleges and universities in Tennessee, according to a national website.
UTC is No. 7 out of the state’s 25 colleges, both public and private, according to College Consensus. In its rankings, the website says UTC “has grown into a comprehensive public institution that stands as a model of the modern metropolitan, urban university. UTC is ranked one of the top 60 regional universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report.”
The organization says it gathers information about schools from such sources as U.S. News, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal as well as student surveys.
