The 2018 Legends and Leaders banquet honored three people who have achieved impressive success as UTC graduates or whose dedication and assistance to the university has been exemplary. The honorees were:
- Tim Arnold, CEO of Colonial Life, received the Distinguished Alumni Award;
- Kino Becton, director of National Government and Regulatory Affairs at American Water, was the first winner of the new first Outstanding Young Alumnus Award;
- John “Thunder” Thornton received the Outstanding Service Award.
