Remember CDs? Those shiny circles with music on them?
Well, WUTC-FM 88.1 has about 15,000 of them and they want you to have them. Many of the CDs are out-of-print and difficult to find elsewhere.
From Friday-Saturday, June 21-22, all of the station’s CDs are on sale. They’ll be $3 per CD all day Friday, $2 per CD from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and $1 per CD after 2 p.m. Saturday.
All sales go to WUTC fundraising efforts.
“Our entire library has been digitized, so we still have all the great music our listeners have grown to love,” says WUTC Station Manager Bryan Lane. “We would just like to personally share it with them and use their donations to bring even more growth to the radio station.”
The CDs run the gamut of music, including classic and modern rock, jazz, reggae, blues, world music, you name it. There’s also a huge selection of specialty box sets.
The sale takes place on UTC’s campus in Cadek Hall on Oak Street. Hours are:
- 3-8 p.m. Friday, June 21
- 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 22
So come by and buy some CDs. With 15,000 or so, there will be plenty of choices.
