To celebrate the 20th anniversary of signing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will hold a Taste of Diversity event on Friday, October 1, from 11-2 p.m. in the Student Park on the UTC campus.
A program beginning at 11 a.m. will feature gospel singer Kim Ruff, Ryme-N-Chatt poetry readings, the Little Mason Choir Ensemble. A student-led walk will begin at 2 p.m., identifying the path around campus that is accessible for all individuals.
UTC Chancellor Roger Brown and Chattanooga City Mayor Ron Littlefield will announce a Proclamation that October is Diversity Awareness Month at UTC and in Chattanooga. (See the full program below).
Diverse organizations from UTC and the Chattanooga community will be represented at an informational fair, where participants may visit booths.
