Band Camp for fall 2021 began Aug. 9. Under the direction of new Band Director Randall Coleman, the Marching Mocs and Color Guard started their practice sessions on the fields at the UTC Sports Complex near Engel Stadium. The Marching Mocs has increased its membership by nearly 100%, almost double in size from the past two years, says Coleman, who came to UTC after spending 14 years at the University of Alabama, where his last position was associate director of the school’s Million Dollar Band.
