Summer semester witnessed a lot of changes around campus when it comes to academic and administrative offices moving hither and yon, especially with the ongoing renovation of Hunter Hall.
To lessen the amount of confused wandering for students, faculty and staff in the upcoming fall semester, here’s a list of changes from full building-to-building moves to departments or offices switching floors inside the same building.
Here are the Hunter Hall moves:
- The Administrative Offices for the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies are on the Second Floor at 540 McCallie.
- The School of Education is on the Second Floor at 540 McCallie.
- The Department of Social Work is on the Second Floor of 540 McCallie Ave.
- The School of Professional Studies is on the First Floor of Davenport Hall, 529 Oak St.
- The Department of Social Work is on the Second Floor of 540 McCallie Ave.
- The Department of Interior Architecture and Design is on the First Floor of Davenport Hall, 529 Oak St.
Student Support Services moved from the Second Floor of Frist Hall to the First Floor of the Barr Building, 739 McCallie Ave.
The Each One Reach One Scholarship program moved from Office 430 on the Fourth Floor of 540 McCallie Avenue to Office 276 on the Second Floor of the same building.
The Disability Resource Center moved from University Center Room 108 to University Center Room 352.
The Disability Resource Center Testing Center moved from University Center Room 108 to University Center Room 317.
The Center for Career and Leadership Development moved from University Center 317 to University Center 108.
The Arts-Based Collective, formerly in the Patten House, 801 Oak St., is now in the Challenger STEM Learning Center, 755 Mocs Alumni Drive.
The Department of Political Science and Public Service moved from Pfeiffer Hall to the Fourth Floor of 540 McCallie Ave., joining the Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice for a Social Sciences hub.
Housing and Residential Life is moving from Stacy Town Hall, 815 University St., to Pfeiffer Hall, located next to Stagmaier Hall residence hall.
Student Success Programs is moving from Stacy Town Hall, 815 University St., to Pfeiffer Hall, located next to Stagmaier Hall residence hall.
The Writing and Communication Center moved from Room 327 in the Library to Room 118 in the Library.
Faculty in the Department of History are now located on several floors in Brock Hall.

The Nurse Practitioner Simulation Lab for undergraduate and graduate students, formerly in the Metro Building with the School of Nursing, is now on the Third Floor of Davenport Hall, 529 Oak St.
School of Nursing faculty have changed offices, some moving between offices in the Metro Building, 518 Oak St., while others moving to Davenport Hall, 529 Oak St. Here is a list of new office assignments:
