Come learn more about global climate change at a free lecture on Monday, October 29, at UTC.
Dr. Jim Russell from the Geology Department at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, will speak on “Tropical Climate Change: Past, Present, and Future.” The lecture is scheduled for October 29 at 7 p.m. in the Raccoon Mountain of the UTC University Center.
Russell is a palaeoclimatologist and has researched ancient climate history in locales ranging from Uganda and Tanzania in east Africa to Indonesia. He has published more than two dozen articles on climate history in various scientific journals; his research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Geographic Society.
