The Arts and Education Council presents the Chattanooga Festival of Writers Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29. This event, sponsored in part by UTC, is held during the off-years of the AEC Conference on Southern Literature.
The Chattanooga Festival of Writers explores the craft of writing through specialized workshops and discussions.
“I am pleased at the wide variety of workshops planned for this year’s festival, including fiction, poetry, drama, screen-plays, and non-fiction of various types,” said Dr. Verbie Prevost, Connor Professor of American Literature and Head of the Department of English. “Successful writers in each of these genres will use their own experiences to provide suggestions for writing and publishing that will appeal to both experienced and beginning writers.”
