The women’s basketball team has again earned a spot in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament after defeating Western Carolina in the 2008 Southern Conference Championship game, 71-59.
The Athletics Department will host an NCAA Women’s Selection Show Party on Monday, March 17 for the Lady Mocs at Big River Grille & Brewing Works, 222 Broad Street, downtown. These festivities are free to all fans, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the lounge and billiards section of the restaurant.
Prior to the start of the ESPN-broadcast show head coach Wes Moore will speak, and the Lady Mocs will be available for autographs following the selection special. Free appetizers will be available while they last, and Big River will offer menu and beverage specials for all Mocs fans.
Ticket, travel and fan special event information for the NCAA Tournament will be available on www.GoMocs.com beginning Tuesday morning, March 18 when plans are finalized.
