A display of presidential and campaign memorabilia is available for viewing in the Lupton Library. These items are located on the first floor and in The Special Collections on the second floor and can be seen until the conclusion of fall semester.
“Included will be campaign buttons and stickers from many 20th century presidential campaigns, as well as other political campaigns, and letters from presidents, including Teddy Roosevelt, Rutherford B. Hayes, Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Bill Clinton,” according to Associate Professor Steve Cox, Special Collections Librarian and University Archivist. “Other items include presidential photographs from the John H. Rous Collection. Mr. Rous, from Chattanooga, was an Associated Press White House photographer from the Franklin D. Roosevelt years up to Richard M. Nixon’s years in the White House.”
Additionally, items are from the Frank Prescott Collection, the Marilyn Lloyd Collection, the Anne Bachman Hyde Collection, and the John T. Wilder Letters will be on display.
