At the Annual Meeting and Campaign Celebration, United Way of Greater Chattanooga announced that UTC won the United Way Leadership Award for 2008.
“The University increased leadership giving ($1,000 or more annually) by 22%, the most of any campaign participant,” said Emily L. Geyer, UTC Director of Development for Annual Giving. “UTC had 22 leadership donors.”
Overall giving in the 2008 UTC United Way Campaign rose to $65,184, up from the previous two years. The campaign met the goal of 22 leadership donors, which was up from 17 leadership donors in 2007.
Frankie Roeser, ITD-Information Technology Division, and Sue Stephens, Facilities Planning and Management, organized and ran the United Way Auction, which yielded more than $5,800.
