James L. “Bucky” Wolford, member of the UT Board of Trustees from Hamilton County, accepted Student Government Association President Bill Staley’s invitation to visit campus during Welcome Week.
Wolford was named Distinguished Alumnus in 2005. He is President and CEO of Wolford Development, Inc.
Wolford said he enjoyed the time he spent on campus. “Bill has been an excellent host, and I attended two classes with him,” Wolford said. “I have been away from the classroom for some time, and I do not have the interaction with students that I would like to have. It is good for me to see what is going on with the students at UTC.”
Staley was glad Wolford accepted his invitation. “It was awesome to have Mr. Wolford walk in the shoes of a student in 2007. He is genuinely interested in communicating with students at UTC.”
Wolford graduated from the University in 1969. When he was a student, Wolford was a member of Blue Key Society, captain of the UC Football Team, and a College Little All-American in football.
“I am willing to do anything I can for students in my role as a UT Trustee. I want to help them with their experience at UTC,” Wolford said.
