Along with her husband, John Murphy, a UTC alumus, Haugerud founded the Galtere Institute: Finance for the Future Initiative at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a global finance center for studying trading and portfolio management with particular emphasis on the perspective of women in financial decision-making and successful trading practices.
