Described as “a beautiful concrete stadium with an exterior of brick and stone in harmony with the other buildings on campus” in the 1928 University yearbook, bittersweet feelings surround campus as South Stadium is dismantled, nearly 84 years after it was constructed.
Update: Students gain real world experience with internships
Working downtown in a swanky office certainly has its perks, but sitting still is not one of them. As UTC students found out this summer, interning for some of Chattanooga’s premier companies means becoming part of a team of professionals and gaining practical real world experience.

Students to participate in free children’s sports gear fittings
As fall football season fast approaches, keeping children safe on the field is a top priority for many parents. Thanks to students in the UTC Department of Health and Human Performance, parents can breathe a little easier during games. Students are volunteering to outfit children in properly fitted sports gear.

Mocs Bass Anglers reel in a win
All it took was a couple of largemouth bass and the Mocs Bass Anglers secured a top finish in the 2011 Boat U.S Collegiate Bass Fishing Open. The Bass Anglers, who separated into two teams for the event, both placed well in the competition that took place at Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tennessee.
