UTC to host fall 2024 Meacham Writers’ Workshop Sept. 26-28
The 2024 Meacham Writers’ Workshop, a free event open to the public, takes place from Sept. 26-28 at the UTC Library, the University Center and at Stove Works (1250 E. 13th St. in Chattanooga). The workshop’s mission is to provide UTC students and underserved community members with greater access to the literary arts.

UTC to host Southern Labor Studies Association conference
The UTC Department of History will host the Southern Labor Studies Association (SLSA) conference Sept. 19-22 at various locations around campus, bringing together scholars, labor activists and community members to explore the rich history and evolving dynamics of labor in the southern United States.
UTC MPH program celebrates ACEND accreditation
The UTC Master of Public Health (MPH) in Nutrition and Dietetics was granted full accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) in May 2024. The achievement was recognized with an accreditation ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the University Center Chickamauga Room.

Recognizing dedication: UTC to celebrate staff and faculty service milestones
Each year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga honors staff and faculty who have reached significant service milestones. This year, 242 members of the UTC family will be recognized for reaching important service milestones during the UTC Service Awards Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 17—one of the highlights of Founder’s Week. The luncheon provides University administrators with a chance to express their appreciation for their employees’ dedicated service.
