UTC criminal justice students to host “Pouring for Purpose” community event
Students from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Criminal Justice program and University High students will soon collaborate for a pour-painting project and community gallery event. On Friday, Nov. 10, the college and high school students will come together to launch “Pouring for Purpose: Building Pathways to Ethics and Equity,” a gallery and partner-building event taking place from 1-3 p.m. at the UTC Challenger Center.

A $1.4-million grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration has been awarded to the UTC School of Nursing to prepare undergraduate students to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations. Dr. Brooke Epperson, assistant professor and undergraduate coordinator in the School of Nursing, is the principal investigator—landing a three-year grant through the HRSA NEPQR-SET program.

Westbrook Scholarship: Helping UTC chemistry and physics students for 30 years
For 30 years, the Westbrook Scholarship Program has helped first-year chemistry and physics students at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga complete their degrees. The scholarship provides $14,000 over four years to eligible incoming freshmen in the UTC Department of Chemistry and Physics.

UTC raises more than $14 million during 2023 fiscal year from 6,100 donors
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga raised $14,113,826 from 6,100 donors during the fiscal year 2023, exceeding the University’s fundraising goal by more than $3 million. This fundraising total represents a 38% increase from the previous fiscal year and a 115% increase from two years prior in dollars raised to support students, faculty and staff.
