This year marks the second time the Elect Her – Campus Women Win program will provide female UTC students the tools they need to be competitive in student government elections. Elect Her trains college women to run effective campaigns for student government and future office. It is the only nationwide program of its kind. This year’s theme is “ROAR! You will hear her!”

The course schedules for spring and summer semesters of 2014 are online. Open registration for spring 2014 begins November 22 while open registration for summer semester 2014 begins March 10.
UTC student loan default lowers as national average rises
All over the country, the average number of students defaulting on loans is rising, but UTC has worked hard to lower our student loan default.

Disability Resource Center uses sitcom to raise disability awareness
Challenges faced by a person who uses a wheelchair are easy to recognize, but there are many disabilities that are less visible. The UTC Disability Resource Center raises awareness and educates the campus community to interact with people who may be facing disabilities, invisible or otherwise.
University club sports on the rise
With more than 20 active teams and 450 members, the club sports programs on campus have been able to provide a great athletic and social outlet over the years for a large portion of the student body.
Regional tuition program extended
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees approved an extension of the UTC regional tuition rate program for undergraduates and graduate students.
Educational Opportunity Center assisted May graduate
After Melissa Mitchell graduated from Marion County High School, she knew she had the potential for a four-year academic degree. A meeting with Cathy Brown of the Educational Opportunity Center motivated her to enroll at UTC.

UTC students to attend inauguration in Washington D.C.
The Mocs are going to Washington! A group of more than 30 UTC students will be attending the 57th Quadrennial Presidential Inauguration commemorating the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, in Washington D.C. The trip is part of a learning opportunity about civic engagement and the political process.
