SCEA holds national arts and education forum

A national Arts & Education Forum: Arts Integration and Teacher Change held in the UTC University Center brought together 50 professional development providers from 12 states, including K-12 and university teachers, administrators, and artists.  The Southeast Center for Education in the Arts (SCEA) hosted the event.

Engineering graduate awarded national scholarship

Ipshita Thomas, a civil engineering graduate, has received a $10,000 scholarship from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the top prize in ACEC’s 2009 national scholarship program.  Earlier this year, Thomas received a $1,000 scholarship from ACEC of Tennessee, which qualified her to compete with engineering students from throughout the United States in the…

WUTC celebrates record-breaking spring membership drive

WUTC, FM 88.1, just completed a membership drive and set a record for its spring fundraising with $152,288 pledged.   These new dollars will be used for maintaining the public radio station’s operation.  WUTC is licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

First ROTC commissioned officer graduates
