Hamilton County commissioners and the city of Chattanooga have given approval for the University to officially acquire the Engel Stadium property on East Third Street. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has earned the 2008 Community Engagement Classification designation by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
