High school debate teams compete for UTC scholarships
Students from Tyner High School and The Howard School recently went head to head in a debate tournament to compete for recurring scholarships to UTC.
Samuel selected as member of National Advisory Council for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education
Dr. Bryan Samuel, UTC Director of Equity and Diversity, has been selected to serve as a member of the National Advisory Council for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE).
University hosts Sisters of the Academy Institute
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Office of Equity and Diversity partnered with Sisters of the Academy Institute (SOTA) to host a writing retreat for UTC faculty. At this retreat, participants had access to coaches and facilitators who provide advice and feedback on dissertations, manuscripts, reports or book chapters.
MLK Day of service benefits local school
What began as a small service project to honor the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr., blossomed into a large group of nearly 90 happy, helpful students, faculty, and staff from UTC who populated the halls of Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA). There, several improvements were made on January 20.
