On Tuesday, March 19, UTC spent the day at ChattState as part of the Power C Tour—an effort to connect prospective students with UTC and show them what the University has to offer.
Power C Tour comes home to UTC campus
The Power C Tour Chattanooga event followed October visits to Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville. The four tour stops attracted 1,033 total students, parents and guests. Of the 446 students who attended, more than 30% (138) were admitted to UTC in a “Moc Minute,” an initiative allowing qualified high school seniors to apply for free to the University at the event.

The Power C Tour, a statewide outreach effort to prospective students on academic programs, admissions, housing, financial aid and campus life at UTC, arrives here on campus from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 8)—giving high school students, transfers, graduate students and their families a feel for UTC. On Saturday (Nov. 11), the Undergraduate Admissions Office will host its annual Blue and Gold Preview Day for prospective students and their families.

Representatives from the academic colleges, student services and the UTC Executive Leadership Team—plus current students and mascot Scrappy—travel to each site to answer questions and make connections in a friendly, relaxed environment.

The annual Power C Tour, which kicks off this Thursday, Oct. 5, with a visit to Memphis, will give prospective students across Tennessee four chances in October and November to learn more about UTC.
Cleveland rocks: Dual admission agreement allows for smooth transfer from Cleveland State to UTC
On Tuesday, April 18, an updated dual admission agreement between the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Cleveland State Community College was formalized as part of a Power C Tour event in Cleveland State’s George L. Mathis Student Center. The Cleveland State to UTC agreement is designed to provide a seamless transition for students earning an associate degree at Cleveland State to continue their education and obtain a bachelor’s degree at UTC.
ChattState UTC Connect: New dual admission agreement allows for seamless transition
On Tuesday, March 21, a dual admission agreement between UTC and Chattanooga State Community College was formalized. The Chatt State UTC Connect agreement reiterates a commitment to ensure a smooth transfer of Chattanooga State students to UTC to complete their bachelor’s degree programs.
