Guest Artist’s Haunting Portrait of America’s Death Row
As part of the Diane Marek Visiting Artist series, the Cress Gallery will exhibit award winning artist Amy Elkins’ art February 9 – March 24. The visiting artist began her project featuring death row inmates after stumbling on calls for penpals online.
Diane Marek Visiting Artist expresses serious ideas with doodles
In Michael Scoggins’s art exhibit, “A Day in the Life,” visitors to the Cress Gallery will find something surprising – pages of a spiral bound notebook recreated by hand on a colossal scale. Scoggins is the Diane Marek Visiting Artist featured in the Cress through December 6.

Student work on display at the Cress Gallery of Art
The Cress Gallery of Art celebrates a new semester with a display of student artwork for the the 2013 UTC Department of Art Annual Juried Student Exhibition. The exhibition runs through January 31. The gallery is open to the public and admission is free.

Selections II: The UTC Permanent Collection of Art will be on exhibit through Friday, July 27, at the Cress Gallery of Art. Gallery summer hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Cress is closed on weekends.

Faculty work showcased at art exhibit
Artwork from UTC faculty is on display at the Cress Gallery of Art until October 2nd. Located in the lobby of the UTC Fine Arts Center, this exhibition of visual research is free and open to the public.
