At Chattanooga National Cemetery, Capt. Kevin Beavers, department head for UTC’s Military Science (Army ROTC), renders a salute during the Wreaths Across America, held this past weekend across the country. This year, more than 9,600 wreaths were laid nationwide with the ultimate goal of raising enough financial support so veterans’ graves in the U.S. — more than 50,000 — are honored with a wreath, a salute and the name of the veteran spoken because you are never forgotten for as long as someone speaks your name.
