9/11 victims and first responders are honored during ‘11 Hours of Remembrance’

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, students, faculty and staff from UTC carried flags around Chamberlain Field to honor those who died or were injured on 9/11 as well as the heroic actions of first responders. The event ran from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Participants could carry American flags or those representing one of the U.S. Armed Services.

UTC Army ROTC honors local veterans during Wreaths Across America event

This past weekend, UTC Army ROTC chapter honored local veterans during Wreaths Across America event in which 9,600 wreaths were laid on the graves of U.S. veterans.

UTC develops partnership with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians

UTC students will have the opportunity to live and work with the Eastern Band Cherokee in the Cherokee community May 5 – 23, 2014.

“In May 2013 we made an agreement, a tribal council resolution, with the Eastern Cherokee Band, recognizing a partnership between the Military Science Department at UTC and the Eastern Band for the purposes of scholarship, cultural exchange, and cultural consciousness,” says Major Robert Ricks.
