On Saturday, April 14, the UTC Army ROTC hosted its first Military Ball since 2007. Attended by Army cadets, current members of the Department of Military Science, alumni and other guests, it offered a look at “finer side” of the military, says Capt. Kevin Beavers, head of the Department for Military Science. Among the attendees were, from left, Capt. Beavers, Dr. George Hynd, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Jim Iacocca , 60th adjutant general of the U.S. States Army—the ball’s guest speaker—and Gen. (Ret.) B.B. Bell , 1969 graduate of the Army ROTC program and Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of Chattanooga.
