The annual MOC Forward conference took place on Tuesday, Oct. 15, with a theme of “Intersections on the Path to Inclusion.” The event had 14 breakout sessions, and the keynote presentation was “The Defamation Experience,” a live courtroom drama in which the audience is the jury.
The featured speaker is 2019 Miss Tennessee Brianna Mason, the first African-American woman to gain the title since the program began in 1938. She ran for Miss Tennessee for four straight years, earning third runner-up and second runner-up before she gained the title. Her platform is promoting autism awareness with her nonprofit, Advocates for Autism – Autism Awareness.
